Hi Ladies,
Greetings! After writing and posting this blog every Wednesday for almost three years, it’s time to explain again what it is and why it exists. Several posts have reached over 3,000 Facebook views, being seen by people who may have enjoyed and even shared it, but who have no idea who I am or why I write it.
Who Am I?
My name is Jo Lynne Pool, and I’m a published author who ministers through writing. My gifting is Teacher, with a heart for women in the Body of Christ, both single and married.
I was a single mother of two for eleven years after my early unsaved marriage ended in divorce. After becoming a believer, I wanted to remarry, but Father just seemed to be sitting on His hands. Eventually after much fervent praying, He revealed what I was doing wrong, and outlined the steps necessary to prepare for the arrival of His ordained spouse. By following His guidelines, I was happily married a year later.
Those godly directives formed the basis for my first book, A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND…Unless You Ask God to Be Head of Your Search Committee. It was published by Thomas Nelson in 1995, sold over 60,000 copies, and remained in print for 10 years. It continues to sell because the Word of God, THE BOOK, is eternal.
Why the Blog?
Our Father treasures godly women and has much to say to His beloved ladies in His Word, and through what He is speaking now. For relationships, love or marriage, all the instruction we need is there. He has precise, honest and direct advice for our encouragement and blessing.
My weekly blog: http://www.loveinthebook.org shares God’s practical relationship truths. He controls all things, and His hands certainly aren’t tied in the arena of love and marriage. You may want to wed, and wonder what, if anything, you can do. Or as a wife, you may be interested in better understanding your spouse, or alleviating stresses. The solutions come from the Lord, offering reassurance and guidance for receiving love and building a strong marriage by doing it God’s Way.
Sharing this information and scriptural insights to answer the questions and address the needs of modern women is the purpose of the “Love in The Book” blog.
The Books
My books provide relationship truths straight from the Word and from Holy Spirit for the dilemmas that confront today’s Christian women, including such topics as sex and divorce. Written through God’s inspiration, they reveal actions for single ladies that lead to marriage, and guide married ladies seeking marital help. Father’s Plans
Regardless of what we choose to aim for in life, our first step always is to acknowledge having the desire for it. Next, we must make a conscious decision to prepare for and pursue it. This is the process for attaining the promises of God. Commit to reaching your goal, then do what Father directs.
Impatience, discouragement, or rebelliousness are techniques deployed by the enemy to delay the arrival of our blessings. Don’t be victimized! Stay thankful and prayerful – attitudes that will bring you joy. With faith, commitment, and praise, we ladies can follow God’s plans for finding love and thriving in marriage.
So, this is who I am, and what this blog is about…Ministry that Matters! But Facebook is a less than ideal platform for reaching out to those who value the Lord’s relational insights.
