Cropped creation

Hi Ladies,

1 Timothy 4: 4 – “For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude.” (NASB)

Let’s consider more actions and attitudes that will move you ahead in God’s will for your life. We discussed Talents last week, and now it’s time to identify the potentials for creativity that our Father has placed within and around you. These are not personal talents or gifts, but possibilities for pursuing activities of interest to you. When you apply creativity to accomplishing them, entirely new areas of focus, enjoyment, even love may open up.

The context of the verse quoted here pertains to the eating of non-kosher meat, but it can also be applied to your own God-given creative desires, the spark of creation inherited through your relationship with the Creator. We’re not discussing strategies intended to unearth a man, but rather involvements that will broaden your imagination, your options. Many ladies become stagnant, static, and stuck in self-imposed limiting routine that does not allow for Father’s expansion and growth. Tapping into your creativity allows you to step outside the norms of your life and embrace keys to your future blessings.

Creativity:

Dictionary.com defines “Creative” as “The quality or power of creating; resulting from originality of thought, expression, etc.; imaginative; productive.” This ability is yours through habitation by Holy Spirit, your direct connection to the Godhead. It reflects His nature, which you now possess, and will open doors that you may never have considered. Their very novelty will bring change, altering your perspective, capabilities, competence, and contacts. It’s the opposite of being uninvolved and passive, disinterested in new experiences or people. Those are not godly virtues. Rather than limitations and constraints, Jesus came into your life to renew and enhance it, to stimulate and build your uniqueness, and cause your life to blossom and flourish as He directs.

Listen to your desires. They’ll reveal seeds of possibility that have been placed before you. Consider your dreams and the inclinations that lie quietly in the back of your mind. What engages you? Do you sing, write, or draw? Do you love animals or babies? What about money? Unless you’re independently wealthy, you probably work. What would you really like to do as a career? Do you harbor a secret wish to be an attorney, interior decorator, physical trainer, or talk show host? Do you want to preach or become a missionary? Or perhaps you’d prefer to open a business, online store, daycare or senior center… options truly are endless when you follow God’s leading.

Christ in His Sovereignty did not design everyone the same, and your focus should be broader than the church building. There’s a need for God’s people to bring His perspective into the marketplace, especially if you’d like to positively impact people’s lives. He anoints doctors, police, counselors, politicians, teachers, etc., and many such opportunities await.

But it’s not only about work. What pastimes bring you joy, aside from sleeping late, vegging out on favorite shows, or scrolling the internet? If you have none, investigate a few activities to see if they appeal. Have you tried tennis or bicycling, bowling or skiing? What about classes for gourmet cooking, painting or photography?

There are so many things you could be doing, and so much opportunity available. Don’t prejudge possible experiences based on whether other Believers will understand them or not. The only judgment to be made on your interests is between you and God. If He’s opposed, you will know it, but let Him be the guide.

Your creativity waits to be stirred into action, for your benefit and for the Kingdom. Think about each of your potential choices and evaluate the first moves required to achieve them. Then step out. Remember that it’s truly rare for a husband to just walk up and ring your doorbell. Most often males show up when we ladies are busy, out and about, tending to the life that God has mandated for us. So, seek and pursue the creative outlets that Father places before you. Their value is priceless.

More actions to come…Joy and Shalom!
