Hi Ladies,

We’ve discussed Binding and Loosing, the potent warfare weapons available for your use while you await your God-ordained mate. The third essential component of your weaponry is Intercession, and as the new year begins this might be a good time to commit to using this godly weapon to assist that future husband.

INTERCEDE

Our right of Intercession is described in Ezekiel 22: 29, 30 – “The people of the land have practiced oppressions and committed robbery, and they have wronged the poor and needy and have oppress the sojourner without justice. So, I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

The situation that God recounts here is what intercession is all about – praying on behalf of others. These people were filled with evil doings, but if just one person had prayed to the Father, seeking His mercy upon them, He was prepared to spare their lives. The principle is the same when we pray for people who matter to us.

“But I don’t even know him”, you may protest when considering intercession for a spouse-to-be, but you don’t need to know him because God didn’t make that a requirement. You have the right to intercede for your future mate simply because he is important to you. Bind the actions of Satan in his life, and declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper. Loose the spiritual fruit of Joy, Peace and Love to reign in his life, and bind the works of the flesh that will try to attack him. Read Galatians 5 for complete listings of the Fruit of the Spirit and the Works of the flesh.

“But how can I pray such things?” You can do so because you have been given the privilege of prayer by God Himself. Praying for another person’s welfare, whether they are known to you personally or not, is the same way we pray for our church leaders, government officials and nation. It only requires caring enough about their wellbeing to seek the Lord’s mercy and blessings for them.

Intercessory prayer and your God-given ability to bind the negative works of the enemy will help to combat any evils that may be working against your mate. Intercede to help defeat challenges that may be hindering him, to make him strong in his faith, and to release in him the desire for a godly wife, so that when God brings you together he’ll recognize that he’s found the answer to his own prayers.

The job of the devil is “to steal, and to kill and to destroy” (John 10: 10) you, your ambitions, and your relationship with Christ. But when he comes against you, don’t run away, or throw up your hands and accept defeat. Satan seeks to take or thwart whatever is rightfully yours, but you must stand your ground. Why would the Lord want you to willingly let something that belongs to you be stolen away when He has given you power to stop the thief? The adversary loses when you wield your weapons of Binding, Loosing and Intercession in prayer.

VICTORY VERSES:

Romans 8: 37 – “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conqueror through Him who loved us.”

Ephesians 6: 10-12 – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God so that you will be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

2 Corinthians 10: 3, 4 – “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

Prayer warfare is your crucial weapon for doing battle in the spiritual realm, both to empower positive results and prevent negative ones from occurring. So, go ahead and pray about and for your husband-to-be. Bind, Loose and Intercede…you’ve been given God’s power to do so!

More next week. Happy New Year 2018…Joy and Shalom!
