God treasures His Single Christian Women, and He has so very much to say to His beloved ladies in His Word!20140704_050143 If you are seeking Him about relationships, love or marriage, all the guidance you need is waiting right there. Our Father is more precise, more honest and more definitive than most pastors, friends or even parents would ever be. Many of the folks who know and love us would be overly concerned about the delicate feelings of daughters and friends, and not ready to be completely frank. But The LORD says what you need to hear, for your encouragement and your blessing.

I’ll be posting on this blog from my latest book, “Love in The Book…Gospel’s Truths for Love and Marriage“. It was written for single ladies under the inspiration of God to share the relationship truths contained in The Bible. Our Father controls all things, and His hands aren’t tied in the area of love and marriage!

Regardless of the specifics of your relationship circumstances, the future may seem to be uncertain. You may have received no indication yet from Our Father that you will marry at all, or will have another chance at matrimony. As a Believer, you already know there are no options other than faith and trust in God to discern His intent. So how, then, in this or any other area of our lives, can we as faithful members of the Body of Christ embrace what The LORD has planned for us? Is it possible to know?

Yes, we can both know and understand God’s plans for our lives because HE will reveal His Will to us as we follow Him. And if you are praying and believing for a mate, and have heard nothing specific from The LORD either for or against it, then that door is still open!

No matter what you choose to aim for in your life, the most essential requirement is to acknowledge possessing the desire for it. The second step is to make a conscious decision to prepare for and pursue it. This is the process for setting out on a path toward attaining the promises of God.

But first of all, our Almighty and Sovereign Lord desires that we not only serve Him, but also that we are thankful and give Him praise, no matter the situations that may currently surround us. As Our Father, He loves us and His Will is always for the best for us in all things.

  •     Psalm 100: 4 – “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name.” (NKJV)
  •     I Thessalonians 5: 18 – “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (NKJV)

When we are thankful and grateful, we’re acknowledging that Our LORD is good, and that we accept His plan for our life. Then we become open and ready to proceed toward the goals that God has placed in our heart.

Yes, I know this can sometimes be a hard attitude to maintain, especially when we’re experiencing difficulties and our prayers seem to be going nowhere. In my eleven year season of singleness after my first unsaved marriage ended in divorce, I often felt that Jesus was simply ignoring my pleas for a godly mate. But this despair didn’t alleviate the situation…it only made it worse because I was being disobedient to God’s Word. Being impatient, discouraged, or rebellious are techniques encouraged by the enemy to delay the arrival of our blessing. Don’t be victimized!

Stay grateful, stay thankful, and stay prayerful. It’ll keep you in right standing with Our Father, and joyful in the life you’ve been given right this moment. With that attitude of trust, peace and hope firmly in place, we can now move on to consider more of the truths in the Bible about your goal for marriage.

Until then, Give Thanks!
