if you are a Single Christian Woman, young or not so young, who desires a godly marriage, don’t be ashamed of that!  God knows the desires of your heart because He gave them to you, and your mate will only manifest in your life if you truly want him to.  If you’re not double-minded, and you’ve instead made up your mind, I’m here to help!

My name is Jo Lynne Pool, and God has blessed me with two books on this subject.  The first one, A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND…Unless You Ask God to Be Head of Your Search Committee, was published by Thomas Nelson, has sold over 60,000 copies, and continues to sell and to minister to singles because the Word of God is eternal.  My just completed book is LOVE IN THE BOOK…Gospel’s Truths for Love and Marriage.

Both were written under The LORD’s direct inspiration, and contain strictly biblical guidance for marriage-ready singles, straight from His Word.  The Bible is filled with Scriptures that provide insights as to what makes a “good man”, how to recognize him when he arrives, and how to live a joyously fulfilled life until this blessed guy shows up.  Our Father has opened up His directives on how a woman can prepare herself for marrying, gain an understanding of the needs and drives of His godly males, and how to combat temptations and tempting excuses.

The LORD has moved on my heart and in my ministry to singles to share directly with you here what He has shared with me…it’s for the encouragement of His precious single ladies.  I am grieved by the lack of knowledge of God’s truths in this vital area.  Many singles feel that their needs and especially their longings for companionship and love have been overlooked in the Body of Christ.  But that’s isn’t the case at all!

I will post here weekly, sharing what Jesus Christ has to say about the second most important decision that a woman will make in her life.  The most important, of course, is committing her life to Him, and the second is in her choice of mate.  When you follow The LORD’s instructions in this matter, you cannot possibly go wrong!  So let’s get started…

WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

There are many questions I’ve encountered from single ladies at the conferences and seminars I speak to.  But queries about interactions with the opposite sex are almost always variations on the basic question of who do you choose to believe.  Regardless of how carefully they’re phrased, the implied relationship queries usually come down to:

(1)  Why hasn’t God done what I want Him to yet?

(2)  Did God really say that?

(3)  Did He really mean that for me?  My circumstances are special, and won’t He make an exception in my case?

But the bottom-line answer is always His Word.  What does the Bible have to say, and what is Our Father telling you in your prayer time?  Not what you may be trying to make Him say!  We’ll explore this in depth in posts to come, and I look forward to hearing from you as God moves in your life.  It’s gonna be a fun ride!
